1. Acceptance & Eligibility

By creating an account or using syndromes.xyz, you agree to these Terms. The service is intended for final-year MBBS students, interns, and residents preparing for NEET-PG, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account or hold a paid subscription.

2. Description of Service

syndromes.xyz is an online education platform. It publishes clinical case sheets (each with ten fixed sections; the first section is always free, and sections two through ten require an active paid plan) and free syndrome articles, for study purposes. Case content is written by authors and checked by clinical reviewers before publication, but it is study material, not medical advice — see Section 10.

3. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for one individual's personal use; sharing login credentials or reselling access to another person is not permitted and may result in suspension. Tell us promptly at support@syndromes.xyz if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Auto-Renewal

Paid plans (Student Pro, Resident+, and Founding Member) are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings, or by writing to support@syndromes.xyz; cancelling stops future renewals but does not end the period already paid for.

5. Pricing & Taxes

Current prices for every plan are shown on our Plans page, in Indian Rupees. Taxes such as GST, where applicable, are handled as displayed at checkout.

6. Founding Member Plan

The Founding Member plan is an annual plan offered at a fixed price to a limited number of members. Once the cap is reached, the plan closes to new subscribers and remaining subscribers keep Resident+ level access for the rest of their billing period.

7. Payments

Web subscriptions are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank account details. In-app purchases on our iOS app are processed by the Apple App Store, and on our Android app by Google Play Billing, under Apple's and Google's own terms. Access to paid content is granted only after the relevant payment provider confirms your payment.

8. Refunds

Our refund and cancellation terms are set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are refunded through Apple or Google, not by us directly.

9. Delivery

syndromes.xyz is a digital service — there is no physical shipment. See the Delivery Policy for how and when access to paid content is granted.

10. Educational Use Only — Medical Disclaimer

All content on syndromes.xyz, including case sheets and articles, is provided for educational use only. It is not a substitute for clinical judgement, supervision by a qualified physician, or official clinical guidelines, and must not be used to make decisions about the care of any actual patient. Always follow your institution's protocols and a qualified supervising clinician's direction.

11. Intellectual Property & Licence

All case sheets, articles, and other content are owned by PENDING — see SETUP_REQUIRED.md (operating as syndromes.xyz) or its licensors. A paid subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to view this content for your own study. You may not copy, screenshot, scrape, redistribute, or resell any part of it, or share your access with anyone outside your own account.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to attempt to circumvent access controls, automate scraping of case content, interfere with the service's operation, or use the service for any purpose other than your own personal study.

13. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, including credential sharing, scraping, or non-payment. You may close your account at any time by writing to support@syndromes.xyz.

14. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount of fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for any decision made about patient care based on content on the platform.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision; continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of PENDING — see SETUP_REQUIRED.md.
